We are quite excited to launch “Our Neighboring Faiths” program where students (Grades 4 & up) will learn the history, culture & theology of a selected religion. We’ll also attend a local worship service, and then reflect on what we have learned. Click here for details.

The success of the program depends on the adults of UUCWNC. We value your participation!
Would you like to be a:
  • Class Leader/Instructor: Do you know a lot about a specific religion, and want to share your knowledge?
  • Guest Speaker/Lender of Artifacts: Would you like to share your personal experiences with a particular religion, or share artifacts such as rosary beads, a menorah, a prayer rug?
  • Student: Do you want to learn about a religion along side students of all ages?
  • Driver/Chaperone: Do you want to transport / chaperone students as they travel to experience another faith practice?
  • Liaison to a Community Faith Resource: Are you able to connect our R.E. staff to a local faith community resource that we may contact?
Simply complete the form below to let us know what religions you would like to be involved in, and what roles you’d like to play for each. Please complete ASAP — this will help with program planning & logistics.

  • 11/12 Sunday School Class: Hinduism (includes FaceTime Q&A call with Hindu adherent in South Africa/India)

After you ‘sign up’, our R.E. staff will contact you initially to confirm your sign-up.

For Class Leaders/Instructors, it is during this initial confirmation call where you will let us know what you require, and we can discuss developing lesson plans. It will be your inspiration that guides us as together we create a custom lesson plan that you will be confident and comfortable delivering!
