Services
Worship is a vital part of our community. It’s a time when the congregation comes together to be spiritually renewed. Sunday Services are held at 10:30am in the Sanctuary and on Zoom. Our minister leads the services three times a month while our dedicated worship team takes the fourth Sunday. You can find who is leading the Worship service on our Homepage. Choir
Our Choir sings one Sunday each month. We welcome you to join us! You do not need to know how to read music. Practice recordings are distributed for those who like the extra help of hearing their voice part highlighted.
Meeting Times: Weekly rehearsals are on Wednesdays 6:45-8:15 p.m. in the Sanctuary, from September to June.
Time commitment: Consistent attendance at rehearsals and performances throughout the church year is ideal. If needed, it is possible to drop out for a month and jump back in.

Serve on Sunday
The Worship Team provides weekly support to the Minister and Lay Leaders, including setting up the Sanctuary and enlisting Offertory Ushers and Chalice Lighters.
Once a month, the Team provides inspired Worship services which seek to affirm and promote our Unitarian Universalist values. We welcome all who wish to join the Worship Team!
Meeting Times: Second Wednesday of each month, at 6:00 p.m.
Time Commitment: Meetings last an hour. Worship Team members who lead services should be prepared to spend 2-3 hours to research and write homilies and/or sermons.

Worship Associates assist by providing components of the service such as the welcome, chalice lighting words, responsive reading, offertory words along with other parts of the service as requested by the worship leader.
Meeting Times: No meetings, however specific instructions are provided by the worship leader the week prior to the service.
Time Commitment: Varies.

Welcome Table Team Members are available before and after each Sunday service to welcome new visitors, provide a name tag, and assist in completing a form to receive the weekly Digest and monthly Beacon emails. Members also invite visitors to coffee hour after the service, and offer information about UUCWNC, and Unitarian Universalism.
Meeting Times: No scheduled meetings, training is provided.
Time Commitment: Arrive 15 minutes before the service and remain after service until visitors leave or attend coffee hour.

Greeters provide a welcoming face to each individual. They greet each person entering the Sanctuary and provide an Order of Service. Greeting members, friends, and visitors is a great way to get to know people. There is no special training.
Meeting Times: No scheduled meetings.
Time Commitment: Arrive 15 minutes before the service and remain at the sanctuary door until service begins.

Counters are responsible for counting the Sunday collection and preparing an office collection report. Counters work in teams of two.
Meeting Times: No scheduled meetings.
Time Commitment: There are four teams. Each team counts one Sunday per month. This process takes about an hour.
